| Located within agency offices, programs
for Teens, Children and Young Adults are offered separately. They
provide a flexible, responsive approach in ways which are best
suited for young clients. The services address a wide range of
alcohol and drug related problems as well as the broader factors
in teens and young adults lives which contribute to alcohol and
drug use and abuse. Services are offered 1 to 3 times weekly after
school or as day treatment in residential services for young pregnant
teens/single mothers. |

Motivation receives extra emphasis in the services
to young clients. Group, individual counselling and therapeutic
recreation are provided for as long as clients need service.
Approximately 850 clients 12 and older
are seen each year, about 150 of them in services described
below and 700 of them in schools. School Based Services are

Assessment
identifies specific issues, needs and goals, and develops treatment
plans with teen or young adult. It provides initial engagement
with a primary counsellor. A briefer assessment is provided
to clients referred from other alcohol/drug services.

of group and individual counselling to clients aged 12 to 17.

Program provides weekly group and individual
counselling for clients aged 12 to 17. |
| Young Adult Program
provides motivation and treatment for clients aged 18– 23 years. |
| Aftercare/Reintegration
serves as weekly continuing care for clients returning from residential
treatment. The focus is on sustained change and relapse prevention. |
| Recreation
Program provides
a forum for teens to develop recreational and leisure skills. |
