To assist high schools in addressing substance abuse
problems. Close partnership with school counsellors, social workers
and administration make this service very effective and easy to
access for students. Family involvement is also crucial to the recovery
process.
Counselling Groups and Individual Counselling are provided. Clients
are served at the agency when school is out (summer,Christmas and
March breaks), and for as long as help is needed.

Assessment
identifies specific issues, needs and goals, and develops
treatment plans for clients. It provides initial engagement with
a primary counsellor.

Groups assist adolescents with serious issues
related to heavy substance abuse or dependence, including school
behavior, grades, mental health, and academic problems.
High Risk
Groups provide weekly group and individual counselling
for students who display early signs of substance use/abuse.
Recovery Groups
offer weekly group and individual counselling to adolescents with
chemical dependence problems who are working to make recovery supporting
life style changes.
Motivational
Counselling in St.Mary's home is an essential
component in services for pregnant teens/young single mothers.
