FAMILY OF ORIGIN: THE PASSAGE
BEYOND
|
| |
| GOAL: |
| An advanced experiential learning and support counselling group
specifically for adults who were children from dysfunctional backgrounds
such as neglect, abuse, addictions or mental health problems in
parents or other family. |
| |
| WHY??? |
| As children under stress we learned certain behaviours in order
to survive. We learned, we practiced, we became. |
| Our objective is a structured and safe process to revisit the
family from which you originated; to help you identify the connection
between behaviour that no longer works for you today and behaviour
you learned in the interactions of your first family or other difficult
childhood experiences. |
| This will not give you answers but will help you reach the answers
already inside you, to challenge your long held beliefs about yourself
and to let go of feelings of shame, resentment and fear. |
| |
| HOW??? |
| Through a wide variety of experiential methods, you will begin
to see not only a direction towards change but change itself. |
